My sugar levels are 103 mg/dl for fasting. I have been taking medicine for hypothyroidism but it is under control now. But doctor told to take gluconorm sr 1g for 10 days. My question is~ shall I start this medicine or shall I opt healthy measures like running, exercise and all? If I start this medicine. Will I have to continue for lifetime as I have heard from people. And are there some severe side effects of eating these medicine?

Do hba1c do not start medicine diet and exercise to be followed. Reduce weight.

Fasting sugar 103 is not diabetic. Get your pp blood sugar and hba1c test and repeat fasiting sugar before starting medicine.
