My wife is detected with heteroechoic lesion measuring 4848 mm noted in the posterior segment of right lobe of liver. She is normal and no pains or any other abnormalities. She was treated for liver abscess 9 years back. What does this diagnosis mean? Is there anything to worry about? She has taken oral contraceptive pills for long time. 13 yrs.

Heteroechoic lesions are usually not a good sign. I'd suggest you consult with a surgeon as soon as possible for biopsy and histopathology report to confirm if the lesion is benign or not. And please don't delay it.
