Doctor has prescribed me etizolam 0.5 mg and sertraline 50 mg daily for anxiety and depression. I want to know if there are any severe side effects of the two also will it cause dependence on long term use. Will it worsen my condition? I'm not sure I should start medication because of the fear of condition worsening further on taking medicines.

Dear Hafiza, Both these tablets have no serious side effects. They will not cause dependence - but you need to take them for months or longer. They will not worsen your condition. But your condition may worsen by itself since these drugs take 2-3 weeks to act.
