I am having epilepsy seizures for many years in starting I took 100 mg of Eptoin due to Dr. Prescription for 4 years it stops my epilepsy sezuires for many years it now starts again and Dr. Said to take me Eptoin 300er. But it did not control my sezuires and after 2 or 3 months sezuires again comes wht can I do.

Dear friend, First of all, I am so sorry to hear that you had a seizure recurrence even after a successful course completion of anti seizure medication. But honestly I should share you the true statistics: almost 30-40 percent of patients (varies among different literature) may have seizure recurrence after successfully completing anti epileptic course. The risk factors of recurrence are: age of onset of seizure, initiation of anti epileptic drug (delay more than 6 months is amenable to more chance of recurrence), number of anti epileptic drugs (recurrence when multiple drugs were needed to control ), type of seizure etc. As epilepsy is result of dynamic process in brain you may need further investigations and optimization of your anti seizure medications under guidance of an efficient Neurologist/Epileptologist. Besides all these you also need to be compliant with your medications, follow lifestyle measures, avoid precipitating factors (for seizures). With all these you will definitely win over epilepsy!
