Hi, Last 3 months ago I have undergone for Lateral internal sphincterotomy for Fissure in Ano then still now feeling As before the surgery (LIS) ie, Pain in ano, Itching, Burning, No harder stools passing. And today (28Oct) get Diagnosed rectal examination by sigmoidoscopy is normal. Please help me what is the reason behind these symptoms.

Hi. Diet is important after surgery, have more diet containing fiber. Drink lots of water. And Sitz bath twice daily (sitting in warm water tub).

Please continue a laxative like isphagul or syrup of lactulose. Keep your stools soft for at least 6 months, you?ll have improvement.
