Acenac Sp 100Mg/325Mg/15Mg Tablet

Acenac SP Tablet is prescribed for people with painful rheumatic conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. This active constituent of this medication belongs to the class of a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAIDs).

Acenac SP Tab works by blocking the effect of cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes which make chemical prostaglandins at sites of injury or damage, causing pain, swelling and inflammation.

This medication eases pain and reduces inflammation. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not take Acenac Sp 100Mg/325Mg/15Mg Tablet. Also, children are advised not to consume this medication.

You should not be taking Acenac Sp 100Mg/325Mg/15Mg Tablet if –

• You are allergic to this medication or other anti-inflammatory painkillers.
• You ever had a problem with stomach or duodenal bleeding, such as an ulcer.
• You have a heart condition, impaired kidney or liver function.
• You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• You have high blood pressure or blood clotting problems.

Being a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, Acenac SP Tablet helps in relieving pain. Prostaglandins are responsible for pain, inflammation, swelling and fever. Acenac Sp 100Mg/325Mg/15Mg Tablet inhibits the action of cyclooxygenase in the brain which is involved in the production of prostaglandins.

• Are there any missed dose instructions?

  The missed dose can be taken as soon as you remember. However, the missed dose should be skipped if it is almost time for your next dose.

  A doctor should be contacted immediately if an overdose of Acenac is suspected. Signs and symptoms of overdose include rashes on the skin, confusion, pain in the chest, blurred vision, etc. Immediate medical attention is needed if an overdose is confirmed.

Acenac SP Tablet is the combination of three medicine which includes Aceclofenac, Paracetamol, and Serratiopeptidase and the medicine works as a pain reliever. Aceclofenac and paracetamol work by blocking the chemical messenger which are responsible for causing pain and fever. Serratiopeptidase is an enzyme and it breaks down the abnormal protein at the inflammation site and it also heals the affected area.

• Interaction with Alcohol

  This medicine should not be consumed with alcohol. Symptoms of stomach bleeding (such as the presence of dried and coffee colored blood in cough or stools) should be reported to the doctor immediately.

  Digoxin

  Corticosteroids

  Antihypertensives

  If you are taking Antihypertensives with this medication, then you are at increased risk of kidney damage. This interaction is more likely to happen in the elderly population. Regular monitoring of kidney function is necessary. Advised to maintain adequate hydration and food intake.

  Asthma
