Nose bleed is a commonplace phenomenon also known as Epistaxis. Hemorrhage caused by rupturing of nasal blood vessels often lead to nose bleed. This rupture is usually brought about by deformities of septum, vascular disorders or hypertension. It is easily treatable with a few basic first aid measures. Nose packs or sprays are useful in recurrent benign cases. Malignant cases must however be brought to medical attention.
HOW IS NOSE BLEED DIAGNOSED?
Severe cases of nose bleeding might necessitate an endoscopic surgery to spot and eliminate the point of bleeding by ligation.
