A condition in children in which the vision is underdeveloped in one of the eyes is known as a 'lazy eye' or amblyopia. It can cause total blindness if not treated in time. Strabismic, deprivation or refractive reasons can cause this condition in an individual, and glasses, lenses or eye surgeries may not help in correcting a lazy eye. The only cure lies in correcting the root cause of this condition.
