Dear lybrateuser,
- Do steam inhalation twice a day
- avoid all cold fluids, have more of warm fluids, tea, coffee, milk, soup
- also avoid fried, spicy, sour & junk food
- take syrup Chericof, 2 teaspoonful three times a day
- take tablet levocetrizine, 10 mg, 1 tab daily in the evening
- have 7-8 glasses of water per day for proper hydration
- avoid smoke, dust, allergens, sprays.

If it is the lungs, there may be some concern. Even if it not concerned with the smoking, giving up is the best solution. Smoking has no benefits at all, period. So do not wait for some problem to crop up before you want to quit. It is not good and therefore quitting is the best solution.
