Studies report the rate of anxiety depression among patients with Diabetes to be as high as 35 to 40 percent. Please consult a counsellor. Medicines along with counselling will help you a lot. A counsellor can help you to reduce your anxiety. You need systematic training for this. The counsellor will help you to modify your perceptions about different situations, causing anxiety so that you can get rid of this.

Since it is of such recent origin, I can assure you that if you cooperate with the therapies, your prognosis should be very good.You must meet with a counselor first and if that person advises that you meet with a doctor too. Please do so immediately. It depends upon severity of anxiety.
