Please consult a nearby psychiatrist in person. It's a comprehensive treatment program for management of alcohol withdrawal and craving. Just taking some pills over the counter is not gonna help rather you may end up in trouble become dependent on the pills!

What medicines or steps or nutrition should someone take for a full body detox (generally or in case of any drug addiction problems) my best friend is a drug addict and wants to completely drop out of it without having the withdrawal symptoms because he is afraid of the withdrawal symptoms so much that he wants to but can't stop doing drug abuse. So is there any way that he can just not do it and also don't suffer from withdrawal symptoms. Like I have seen him in that condition and I felt his pain it was so uneasy to watch him like that. I want to help him in a good way like gradually and fully understanding his condition step by step. I don't want to force him. I want that if there is any way of doing all the detoxification in which he doesn't feel scared or feel those pains or whatever happens in withdrawal so that he himself will want to do it and be free of that inhumane life. So is there anything as such? Also to add on about his mental health if it affects the detoxification in any way. He have some mental health issues namely ocd, add, claustrophobia, anxiety and mostly depression.

Dear user, for withdrwal there are medications, but he has to be monitored in the hospital to observe how his body reacts. During initial therapy, he has to be monitored cosely for any signs of aggression or adverse effects. If the medications are well acting, then he can be sent home under supervision. But to start treatment it is best to visit a psychiatrist and they will refer to a centre based on symptoms and history. You can consult me for more doubts regarding this online by clicking on my...more

Judging by the medicines you mentioned, you might had bipolar disorder. After 2 months of stopping medication, no 'withdrawal' would be there. But, there is risk of recurrence of bipolar disorder, that is - depression, mania, or hypomania.

From the limited information you shared, ot seems that you have been suffering from depression. It needs detailed evaluation and further treatment. Please bear in mind, depression is not a sign of mental weakness, rather a disease of the brain. So don't delay and seek treatment as soon as possible.
