No. Dieting only gives temporary relief. As in your case the moment you were not able to maintain special diet you put on weight U should do the following for long lasting and permanent results--
1. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic) or soaked almonds and a glass of water first thing in the morning (within 10 mins of waking up). 2. Take your breakfast every day. Don't skip it.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
I have gone through the details given. There is no mention of her T3, T4 & TSH levels. Unless I know those, it is difficult to suggest any thing. First let me know if she is on treatment and if yes, then what is the latest TSH level? Then only some suggestions can be given. Thanks.

1. Drink water 16 glasses daily 2. Take high fibre diet and low fat and carbohydrates diet plan and do exercise.
3. Stop eating outside foods and packets foods, junk foods etc fatty foods. 4. Smaller meals in small quantity 5. Early dinner before 6 pm.

Start with avoiding simple sugars as far as possible like sugar, jaggery, honey, sweets, candies, chocolates, cold drinks etc. 'Eat Out' less, avoid junk and have good quantity of fresh foods which are not processed like fruits, vegetables, soups, salads, nuts, low fat milk, curd etc. Gradually, focus on higher protein intake, lower fat and restrict carbohydrates to high fibre foods only. Rice or roti taken in limited quantities do not create any problems in weight loss. You can have them. But it is better to have either roti or rice in one meal. If both are taken together in one meal, then you may tend to over eat. Always have more salad with meals and one fruit prior to meals. This will help in weight loss.
