Orchalgia meaning testicular pain is often associated with varicocele. However varicocele is not the sole cause of orchalgia. Therefore results of varicocele surgery regarding pain are very unpredictable. You can get a USG Scrotum with Doppler to rule out recurrence of varicocele.

Hello-
Do not go for micro-surgical varicocelectomy as you are still young. The surgery will provide only the symptomatic relief and the varicocele will develop again, more over the surgery can damage the surrounding testicular structures which will surely lead to further complications in the future. Grade I varicocele is 99% curable with the help of ayurvedic treatment. So give ayurveda a chance before the damage become permanent either due to disease progression or due to surgery.

Hello-
It’s disappointing to realize that you may have a varicocele recurrence after surgery. You’ve endured the surgery, the anesthesia, a lengthy recovery time, a month without sexual activity, the expense, and some pain, in hopes it would all be worth it in the end. And it might have been, if you were now back to having a normal quality of life without the problems that varicocele can cause, like pain, infertility, or low testosterone. Now, it’s back. And you really don’t want to ...more

Use ice to reduce swelling in the scrotum. Take warm baths. Support your testicles while lying down by placing a rolled towel under your scrotum. Use over-the-counter pain medications like acetaminophen or ibuprofen to reduce pain.

Lap varicocelectomy will get you discharged on the same day. Return to normal activity is earlier with laparoscopic surgery.

I am 27 years old and I have erectile dysfunction for over4 years and I went to see a urologist recently and he said I had left sided varicocele and because of it I had microlithiasis and imbalanced hormones. Elevated level of estradiol of about 60, increased fsg, and increased progesterone levels, testosterone was 19 he said I need to have surgery and so a few days later I underwent a laparoscopic varicocelectomy. I noticed after the surgery that I had increased blood flow to my penis and I started having little erections, as a result of this I masturbated on the 4th day after surgery and then 3 days after that again. I noticed I began to feel pains in my left scrotum after this but there was no swelling of the scrotum, it was mostly at the epidydymal region when I palpated the scrotum and I started having feelings of spasms or contractions under between my scrotal-anal region anytime I did a valsalva maneuver on exhalation after squeezing my pelvic floor muscles for a few seconds. It felt as if there was backflow of blood. And now i’m feeling as I felt before the surgery, no erections. Please tell me what your opinion is about this, did I mess up the surgery by masturbating too early and when can I start having sex, because I was recommended to see an endocrinologist after the surgery?

Hello-
you are suffering due your poor health decisions. Varicocele occurs due to exhaustive reasons of scrotum. Pain in penis and weak erection supports my assertion. Cutting the affecting part by surgery is not an option as you will develop varicocele again. The choice of treatment must be correcting the nourishment channel of the scrotum and the testicles thus correcting the varicocele permanently. It is best for you to consult an ayurveda specialist this time for a holistic treatment app...more
