Undescended Testis Questions

Asked for male, 24 years old from Udaipur

I am 25 years old and I have left undescended testis near bladder. The size of the testis is 20*15 mm in the ct scan report. Please advise it can be moved to the scrotum with surgery or it needs to be removed.

Hello-
Surgery to fix undescended testicles is about 98% effective. In most cases, the testicles will develop normally in the scrotum. They produce healthy sperm later in life. Boys who had undescended testicles continue to have a slighter higher risk of testicular cancer.

I am 26 male from faridabad. I am suffering from undescended testicle problem. One of my testicles is not in scrotum but in groin since birth. Due to this my penis hasn't grown much. When I learnt about this problem during my teenage I told my parents but all they said was that it's just a myth but I knew it was real. Now they want me to get married next year. However, I am sexually not capable. My penis erects but does not produce any sperms. My question is can the undescended testicle be cured now at this age and can I still get be fertile with treatment. How much will it cost. Can hormonal disturbance caused by this (if any) be also cured? Thanks in advance!

So you have another testis in scrotum. One is enough. Get the one in the groin removed. Depending on your hormonal levels you can be well with proper treatment.

it is entirely normal for one testicle to be bigger than the other. Many people find that the right testicle is slightly larger and the left hangs lower. A difference in size is usually nothing to worry about, though it can occasionally indicate a problem.

many people find that the right testicle is slightly larger and the left hangs lower. A difference in size is usually nothing to worry about, though it can occasionally indicate a problem. If a testicle is painful or changes shape, a person should see their doctor as soon as possible.

Hello doctor. My topic is hard somehow. At first I have a undescended testicle, not in its right place, it’s the left one and its not down there but scan say it’s up in the abdomen. My penis without erection is around 3 cm and after erection is about 6 or 7 cm ,also it’s curved during erection and not standing direct. I have went to doctors and everyone tells me different story and each one wanna make different surgery and I really don’t know what to do even I decided not to marry and forget about the idea of having children and family. Yes I was born like that and I have some defects from birth which I treated some of it during my childhood but sadly I have lost all my medical history with my surgeon who passed away years ago.

Health Query

I have the right testicle significantly larger than the left one. I have to mention that I am 31 years old, and it's been like this since I was 14, or at least it was then when I noticed. I don't feel any pain, extremely rare a quick ache, 2-3 times a year. My only problem is that is that the difference is kinda large. Should I worry? Thank you.

having a unilateral orchidectomy (one testicle removed) should not affect the overall circulating testosterone level in the body, providing the remaining testicle is healthy and can produce enough testosterone to make up for any deficit.
