Hello lybrate-user.
Severe pain leads to damage soft tissue and ligaments which may later result in damaging nerves so never neglect it, take acetominophen or naproxen daily one tablet for three days.
If the pain reduces you can start stretching your leg starting with ankle, knee and hip joint.
If the pain does not subside in three days with tabkets take an x-ray of hip joint and follow up with reports.
Thank you.

• For Leg Pain, please follow the below advise
• Contrast bath---It is a form of treatment where a limb or the entire body is immersed in warm water followed by the immediate immersion of the limb or body in ice water. This procedure is repeated several times, alternating hot and cold. Note that the treatment should always end in the ice water, as heat will induce the body's inflammatory response, while cold helps to decrease inflammation.
