Swelling will subside with the medication, as soon as it does get the tooth extraction because now the infection made it's way in the fascial spaces.So you need to Get the tooth extraction asap

If the cavity have not reached the nerve level
if there is no infection at the base of tooth
if there is no swelling, fever
then after removing all the carious part, dentist will check while working. If it is not deep then dentist can fill it up .and tooth can be treated without root canal.

RCT is best treatment. Till now take very fine (like maida) and mustard oil and lavang oil. Do 'gandoosh' (Ayurvedic doctors will tell you). Also do phitkari khulla twice to thrice a day for few days.
