Dear lybrate-user, tsh of 3.87 in pregnancy is a borderline high value. I suggest that you repeat a tsh after 1 month and tpo antibodies and let us know so that we can decide if you need thyroxine during pregnancy

Hello, thanks for the query.
I have seen the query. The information is incomplete. You have just mentioned tsh level, which below the lower normal limit. But there is no information on t3 & t4 levels. Tsh is directly linked to the levels of these two thyroid hormones particularly t4 (thyroxine) which is secreted that gland. Lower level means there is an excess secretion of t4. Plus usually there are quite a few associated symptoms wit that. Unless all the necessary information is given there...more

I have gone through the details mentioned. You have mentioned about having hypothyroidism and are on treatment for the same with 75 mc levothyroxine. Usually if one takes adequate dosage of levothyroxine hen t4 & t3 hormone levels are quite normal (with in specified normal range). However, since your tsh has gone to 8.1 mu/l, suggesting the earlier dosage was inadequate. If you have changed the dosage to 75 mcg (since when is not mentioned), tsh level may come do...more
