If you have taken TT 6 months ago you need to take it again . If you take 3 doses in another regime you need to take only in every 3 years

You can wait for one year before the second TT is taken , There is another schedule which if you follow you need not take only in every 5 years

There is no harm in having drunk after TT injection .The body pain and mild fever are normal action of the TT injection

If 7 days after a wound, you still haven't gone into tetanic convulsions, then two conclusions can be drawn from that; either:
The antibody levels were high enough, or
The wound doesn't have any clostridium tetani preparing the toxin to give you the shakes.
In either case, I'd say, Better late than never. Take the shot; you survived 7 days - nothing to say, you won't get it after that, or that you don't need it because the antibody levels are high enough.

The immunity of TT injection lasts for one year and if you take booster for 3 years the immunity will last for 5 years

Dear lybrateuser,
- It is always advisable to be innoculated regularly to provide you protection against such occurrences, however if you have cleaned the area properly with water & then applied an after shave lotion or cleaned it with an antiseptic like Dettol then you don't require it , can apply an antibiotic cream on the area.
