"the immunity induced by a full course tissue culture vaccine persists for 3-5 years in a normal healthy person. Any re-exposure during this period shall necessitate administration of two boosters spaced a week apart. Or 0 and 3 (ijcp). No anti-rabies serum is indicated (immunoglobuline) up to five years following full dose primary immunisation. However consult a qualified doctor personally in such events. Sometimes in rabies, it is safer to over treat than under treat.

Protection (after rabies vaccination) is tested in laboratory by virus neutralising antibody (rvna) titre which should be 5 iu/ml of serum in the vaccinated person, which is considered protective. If titre is found lower, booster dose of tissue culture vaccine is given. There are only 5 centres where this test is done. One is at nicd - delhi. Your query and response are more academic. Always consult proper physician for clarification.

Hi
swollen lymph nodes in the neck are a common occurrence during colds or infections, as they are part of the body's immune response to fight off infections. If the swollen lymph nodes are painless, small, and remain the same size, they are likely not a serious issue. However, if they grow larger, become painful, or are accompanied by other symptoms such as fever, weight loss, or night sweats, it is important to go for routine blood tests as well as usg
