Please avoid any exercise that can impact your joints or the back specifically. Please have patience and go slow. Yoga and swimming would be a better option than even gym for the time being. Be in touch with your doctor and follow the instructions. You can Take Homeopathy for the disc problem if it still persists. You can contact me for further clarification.

Hello Mr Roy. Pain in the back may be linked to the bony lumbar spine, discs between the vertebrae, ligaments around the spine and discs, spinal cord and nerves, lower back muscles, abdomen and pelvic internal organs, and the skin around the lumbar area. Pain in the upper back may be due to disorders of the aorta and spine inflammation. Do back exercises which will make your muscles relaxed.Take Arnica mother ticture 10 drops in a glass of water and drink it twice in a day. Let me know.

Disc prolapse at age of 13 years is not common, though it still may occur.
Treatment is analgesics, back care, rest and physiotherapy. However, the child needs to be examined before I can suggest precise treatment

If the problem is recent and correctly diagnosed you should take rest for a couple of weeks and then start gradually with neck physio. Once your neck muscles are strong then you can gradually restart your dance activity.
