Hello Lybrate user pls always mention the age of patient. If pain is in the area where upper and lower jaw meet then assesment for any last erupting tooth is needed. If it radiates up to the temple and ears then dental xray is required to see any new or re infection with the teeth present in that area.
Kindly get dental xray done at some nearby clinic if possible. You can send the xray or atleast the picture of the effected area using code sg38f5. A better opinion can be made about treatment...more

Hello lybrate-user, on the basis of information provided ,it seems like post operative filling might have dislodged. I advice you consult your dentist. After rct patient patient usually experiences mild pain for few days but it subsides on it own. Also if you could share xray .of rct. I can comment better. Thank you.

Sure rct can be done at any age. With time there might be some challenges for the dentist which determines the prognosis of the tooth. Things to look for at this age are other medications and general condition of the person as well as replacement vs saving the tooth as to what is the better option.

Hi
kindly visit your dentist. It appears that the tooth is broken. After examination and taking x rays your dentist will recommend the treatment possible. Usually if it broken badly you will have to get it extracted/removed.

Hi . No your dentist won't need to give an injection to you to shape the tooth for the purpose of capping on a root canal treated tooth. Hope it relieves your fear and anxiety.

Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning. Kindly share x ray (opg or picture or iopa) if possible to suggest best treatment.
