1. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic) or any seasonal fruit or soaked almonds and a glass of water first thing in the morning (within 10 mins of waking up). 2. Take your breakfast every day. Don't skip it.
3. Have light meals every 2 hours (in addition to your breakfast, lunch n dinner) e.g. Nariyal paani, chaach, a handful of dry fruits, a handful of peanuts, seasonal fruit, a cup of curd/milk etc

Dear lybrate-user, I am sorry to hear about your uncle. Based on the description, looks like he has a complete spinal cord injury. Although his paralysis may never improve I think his potential to improve his function (I.e. Doing things independently despite the paralysis) is certainly possible if the paralysis is only below his waist and his arms work well. Dear lybrate-user, I'm sorry to hear about your father. Medications to improve paralysis depends on the cause of the paralysis. There is some evidence for usage of medication in brain injury population particularly stroke. Since your father is on Divlux I suspect he had some sort of brain injury such as stroke, trauma, brain tumor, bleeding etc. Also, these medications need to used along with therapies such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech-language therapy etc for optimal outcome. ...more
