However, it is believed that if you have exercised throughout your pregnancy and had a natural delivery, you can safely do any form of exercise soon after giving birth. You should breastfeed the baby as it also helps you to lose weight and builds child's immunity. Also to lose weight, have small meals instead of heavy meals, especially your dinner should be very light (1 chapati with vegetable, salads, curd / milk) and early dinner (8: 00 pm).Cut down on sweets, sugar, fried foods. Junk foods and high carbohydrate foods like roti, rice, pasta, pizza, burgers, potatoes. Have 2-3 servings of fruits & vegetables. Walk atleast for 30 minutes daily.
