I suppose you are talking about delhi, the most polluted city and no rainfall this year. Temp. Is still 35-39 degrees and air is dry. Cooler can be used. One can use muslin/malmal dupattas/dhoties and wet them, spread them in a corner of room-works better than a humidifier available.
