I-PILL can cause irregular periods if taken frequently. The commonest cause of irregular periods is PCOS. Best is to get a Pelvic USG done and a hormonal assay and consider low dose oral contraceptive pills that will help in regularising periods as well as prevent any unwanted pregnancy.

You have to wait and see. The delay or absence of periods may imply either menstrual irregularity (may be due to pills or hormonal imbalance) or due to pregnancy. Period have So many causes like thyroid, prolactin, oestrogen-progesterone progesterone imbalance ,pcos, ovarian cyst or tumor, uterine tumor, anxiety, certain drug, pregnancy, obesity etc, Soo I think she should visit a gynaecologist for this purpose, that will be better.
