Mr. Lybrate-user, sugar is a form of carbohydrate known as disaccharride, which two molecules mono saccharride glucose + fructose. All other foods that we eat like rice, roti, chapati, potato, banana, sweet potato, tapioca, other grains (cereals) all contain starch, which on digestion give maltose (disaccharride) then glucose. So whether you eat sugar or not we get enough glucose in our food. There is no compultion mentioned about consuming sugar. Thanks.
