You do not have to take diet rich in one single component like too much protein or too much carbohydrates. Take a balanced diet which contains all the components in requisite amount. Try to reduce the total amount of calorie taken per day. Avoid butter, ghee and oil. Avoid high glycemic index food like white flour (maida), white bread, potato and sugary foods. Prefer green leafy vegetables and beans.
Exercise daily (not less than 150 mins/ week).
