The pain may be due to the reason that the cavity is near to close the pulp or nerve of the tooth, see the dentist again as that tooth may need a root canal filling.

Most probably the filling is broken and lodged in gum due to occlusal/ chewing forces. If so, it has to be filled again and gum will heal once broken material is removed, you can try among orasore gel, rexidine m forte gel, dentogel, dologel CT etc whatever is prescribed by your dentist at that time. If filling breaks again and again, ask for capping as a Permanent solution.

Usually composite fillings are hard. U just take care while brushing without applying too much pressure at that area.

As such if everything is normal then there will be no complications in removal of tooth. But if it can be saved then it's better to save your natural tooth than implanting artificial. Clinical examination is important for decision.

You do have to modify your eating habits a little. Veneers are not like battery which can be replaced as soon as it's so working. Better idea is to put crowns and that too preferably on front 6 teeth for best results and no compromise on your eating habits.

As far as tooth decay is concerned, filling are the permanent treatment to this condition. Taking pain killers or brushing twicw or thrice will not help. They will give you only temporary relief. Once tooth decay has occured its better to get filling done otherwise delaying it may worsen condition over a period of time which may lead to root canal treatment or surgery.

Dental implants are mainly used to replace a single missing tooth, which, in most cases, is a premolar or a molar tooth. Tooth decay, failed root canal treatment and cracking are some of the reasons that a tooth may be extracted. Front teeth, or incisors, are lost less frequently than molars. The primary molars are replaced by permanent premolars (also called bicuspids) and the permanent molars come in behind the primary teeth. Consult a dentist for more information. Take care.
