Hello lybrate-user there's no such need to get admitted as of now as your platelet count is still under normal ranges it is decreasing but still normal. I would suggest you to start treatment for dengue at home as of now. Consult online.

Hi although dengue is a dangerous disease if it is properly managed with enough fluids it can be treated easily.
Since it is a viral disease no drug can completely treat it but with time body's own immunity kills all the virus.
There are some ways you can increase platelets naturally so as to prevent internal bleeding cause if platelets decrease below 20-30,000 then the disease becomes very vicious to treat.
You can consult for more info.

1. Trend matters more than counts. 2. Just wait till you get increasing levels of platelets for atleast 2 days, once uptrend is confirmed platelet counts may come to normal anywhere from 3 wks to 3 months depending on individual 3. Do not worry platelet drop in dengue is transient, if counts drop too low with symptoms of bleeding, then platelet transfusion should be done.
