You can also use this as decoction for yourself and after cooling down the decoction, use this to wash your eyes as well.

Punarnava leaves or hogweed: make a very fine paste of the leaves of punarnava leaves and then you will have to apply this finely made paste over your closed eyes, after the application of this paste over your eyes you will start experiencing a cooling sensation on your eyes which will be very helpful and effective in improving the itching and irritation experienced in the eyes. Punarnava leaves are also very helpful and effective in the management of any kind of eye disease or infection. If you drink the juice made from the leaves of punarnava, you can use it topically on your eyes to manage various diseases, one of them is conjunctivitis and this leads to the cause of itchiness.
