The symptoms you mentioned are of irreversible pulpitis. The treatment for it is rct (root canal treatment). No home remedies advised.

Neither covid has any role in cavity formation nor cavity can form in 2 days. Its a gradual process. When caries start no body notices it early as its while in colour. When it becomes brown or black then also its ignored most of the times. Tooth has 2 hard layers. Enamel and Dentin. Dentin being inner layer is also softer than outer layer the enamel.
