3. No smoking/ tobacco/drugs/ avoid pollution
4. Diet - no ghee/ butter, have mix of vegetable oils - mustard, til, ground nut, olive oil, have more green vegetables and fruits, have whole grain atta, no fried. Fast. Spicy / processed/ junk food. Less sugar, potato, rice. Less salt.
5. 30 mts brisk walk daily 6. Deep breathing exercise for 10 mts daily

Give balanced diet with ample green leafy vegetables. Give one fruit daily. He should exercise regularly. And keep monitoring the lipid profile.

If repeatedly the pain occurs on exertion and goes away on rest, you should get an ecg done. A treadmill test may also be needed. Whether or not you should take medicines for cholesterol and if so what dose also depends on other factors like blood sugar, blood pressure.

Triglycerides: take balanced diet with good amount of green leafy vegetables. Increase amount of whole grain rice and pulses in diet. Avoid processed cereals. Avoid white bread, white flour, ghee, butter and oil.
Exercise regularly (at least 150 mins/week). Repeat your lipid profile 3 weeks after applying these lifestyle modifications.
Tsh: if there are no other symptoms, just monitor your tsh, medications are not required at this stage.
Repeat tsh after 2 months.

You have to change your lifestyle and after having below normal level cholesterol level on your test report you can stop taking medicine, but high cholesterol+hypertension is a rf for cardiovascular disease, even after normal report after some time it increases so you have to restart the medicine. Try to decrease items containing fat from your diet like ghee, butter, red meat oil etc. Do aerobic exercises regularly. However the level at which your triglyceride is, chances are less that it will become completely normal with diet modification and exercise only. At some point you will have to start medications. Anyway start diet modification and exercises now. It will surely be helpful.
