Your son has constipation and he needs to be given high fibre diet and drink lot of fluids and eat fruits like plantains. His thyroid function also needs to be tested as hypothyroidism can lead to severe constipation as you have described. For the initial relief while the tests are pending you can put a dulcolax paediatric suppository inside his anus for the temporary relief.

Hi,
best way to empty your bowels early morning is to:
1) drink 8-10 glasses of water daily
2) drink warm milk before going to bed.
3) include papaya, mangoes, spinach, ladyfinger, whole fruits, figs, other green vegetables in your diet in ample quantity.
4) avoid maida in any form-burgers, bread, pizzas, biscuits etc.
