Hi
When a diabetic patient is having diarrhoea, hydration and blood sugars need to be carefully watched.
You can give lemon water with salt and sugar, but make sure the intake of this homemade ORS is well balanced with your blood sugars. You can also consume rice water if you are unable to eat anything. Avoid milk as this worsens diarrhoea.
Keep a constant watch on the blood sugars.

lybrate-userji, If blood glucose is at 300 mg (fasting or PP not mentioned) means it is too high. First that has to be controlled. One has to look at overall diet, weight and height before any suggestion can be made. However, a small piece of beef may not bad. Most important is total dietary intake and weight control. Thanks.

Hi,
There is no cure for diabetes. But with proper diet control, exercise and medications it can be adequately controlled.
Diet: avoid all sugary, high calorie and high fat stuff. Take plenty of vegetables and at least 2 fruits (avoid mango, chikoo, jack fruit etc) / day. Limit your carbohydrates intake to 1/4 th of your plate - carbohydrates include rice/ roti/ chapati etc. Include whole grain foods in your diet. Take protein in the form of dal/eggs or non veg.
