Do you have the pre-surgical report .If not how can you compare the report you are getting now .Did you talk with your ENT how much better it will be after surgery .If not then now go for audiometry, if the result is more towards sensorineural hearing loss then go for hearing aids and the healing process takes approx. 3 months. So wait for 3 months.

Digital hearing aids are better in sound quality and noise reduction.
Analog hearing aids are cheaper than digital hearing aids.
