You may be able to treat mild sprains at home. Recommended home care treatments include:
•using elastic bandages (such as an ace bandage) to wrap your ankle, but not too tightly
•wearing a brace to support your ankle
•using crutches, if needed
•elevating your foot with pillows as necessary to reduce swelling
•taking ibuprofen (such as advil) or acetaminophen (such as tylenol) to manage pain

Hello. I am 40 years old. A very active individual. A regular at the gym. I started working out at home when the location started last year. In november end I contracted the virus. Since after then I couldn't get myself back on track with my workouts. In march 2021 I joined the gym. I did light weight strength training along with 15 mins of cardio before and post workout. After 10 days my feet started aching. Not sure what caused it. Post covid and before I joined the gym I used to walk 10k steps everyday. And currently I can do only 6k a day. The area of pain is around the arch area. The pain isn't extreme but is constant. It moves vertically to the center of the foot to almost the entire upper toe area. Some times even the index finger gets a constant weird sensation on left corner of the toe nail. I had zerodol for 3 days twice a day to see if it subsides. But it didn't help. I just want to know if I need an x-ray done? Is it a nerve damage? I try massaging it at home using a massager but it's of no use. I don't want to visit a hospital given the present circumstances hence looking for some help here as I can't really figure out anything. Please advise what problem does my foot suffer from. And if the pain will subside on its own or I need medication or physiotherapy? And if it of very serious concern? Please help. Thank you in advance for your responses.

Hello lybrate-user I have red your concern and what I think is you may be having plantar fascitis for which plantar fascia stretching exercise and physiotherapy will work you can apply ice over the painful area. It does not seem like a nerve damage and physiotherapy you have to get it done from a professional. If you want you can contact me personally and I can teach you what should be done.
If you liked my response feel free to thank.
