In medical terms, it is known as keratoplasty for a corneal graft. The cornea needs to be clear, smooth, and healthy for a good vision. An unhealthy cornea leads to blurry vision.

Retinopathy of Prematurity refers to a disease of the eye, seen in premature babies. The condition causes blood vessels in the eye to grow abnormally and eventually bleed or leak, leading to scarring of the retina. As the scar starts to shrink, it pulls on the retina, detaching it from the back of the eye. Since the retina is an essential part of the visual apparatus, its detachment can potentially lead to blindness.

A cone-shaped cornea causes blurred vision and may cause sensitivity to light and glare. Keratoconus usually affects both eyes and generally begins to first affect people ages 10 to 25. The condition may progress slowly for 10 years or longer.
In the early stages of keratoconus, you can correct vision problems with glasses or soft contact lenses. Later, you may have to be fitted with rigid, gas permeable contact lenses or other types of lenses. If your condition progresses to an advanced sta...more

If you have nasal congestion, facial pressure, cough and thick nasal discharge, you may have rhinosinusitis, commonly referred to as sinusitis.
Your sinuses are hollow cavities within your cheekbones, around your eyes and behind your nose. They contain mucus, which helps to warm, moisten and filter the air you breathe. When something blocks the mucus from draining normally, an infection can occur.

It is an eye disorder in which the retina is affected by abnormal growth of the blood vessels. Most of the time only one eye is affected. This is not an inherited disease and the principle causes are still unknown. Although in some cases, it has been speculated that some acquired somatic alterations in the NDP gene (Norrie disease (pseudoglioma)) causes Coats disease. The treatment depends upon the symptoms and the intensity of the disease.

Lattice degeneration is a disease of the human eye wherein the peripheral retina becomes atrophic in a lattice pattern and may develop tears, breaks, or holes, which may further progress to retinal detachment. It is an important cause of retinal detachment in young myopic individuals.
Treatment of lattice is typically prophylactic. In rare cases, the doctor performs a “barrier” laser to “tack down” the retina surrounding these lesions to avoid the possibility of retinal detachment. If the do...more
