Lymph nodes can be swollen either due to an infection or due to a tumor in a nearby or related part of the body. It depends upon which lymph node has been affected and will help to narrow it down to which cause it might be. If it is due to an infection, it will resolve once the infection is cleared, else other causes will need to be looked into.
