Dear,
Research says Onion rather stimulates Insulin Production and eventually reduces Blood Sugar Levels. So there is no harm. Onion should be the part of your daily salad portion.

It is not clear whether 250 is Fasting sugar or PP Sugar or Random Sugar. Please confirm this and post separately. It is best to visit a dietician and take a proper plan based on your Sugar readings + Any other problem that you may be facing.

Yes you use ghee but in very small amount about one tea spoon ful daily because ultimately it will be converted into glucose and will give you more than double the calory of one tsf sugar moreover it will increase your cholesterol which is a rsk factor fot ischemic heart disease.

Hello, thanks for the query. Blood glucose 160 to 220 mg (fasting or PP not mentioned) is high. Ideally fasting should be < 100 mg, PP around 160 to 180 mg & HbA1 c % < 7. Since there's no mention about drugs being taken, extent of exercise, present dietary pattern, there's no way to suggest any diet. Please avoid sweets, deep fried foods, pastries, junk foods, bakery items and foods made from maida.
Increase intake of green leafy vegetables and salads & fruits.

Fruits are better when taken on empty stomache.
Diabetic patients should avoid sweet fruits like banana, mangoes, grapes, cheekoo etc. Other fruits can taken in moderation.
