Hello Sir,
You can eat about 8-10 raisins. Eating too many raisins will increase your blood glucose levels. Drinking coconut water once in a while is Ok, but not daily.
I hope this answer has helped you
Thank you.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for your query.
Coconut oil contains mainly medium chain fatty acids (MCT), these are good for health. Help reduce cholesterol, provide good energy and nutrition. This is one of the main cooking medium employed in some parts of South India (Kerala). For a diabetic person also it is a good cooking medium.

Hi Nari,
Diabetes is a metabolic disorder. our metabolism depends upon what type of food we have.Diabetes itself is the result of all over the long period. it's never like u can't have the sweet things but other things should be avoided or controlled on that day.If u like banana u can have small bite of it. also remember it has high glycemic index means more sugar content..What u love is more important.

Hi
Frozen mutter is known to have higher nutrients when compared to fresh ones. Their vitamin c levels are high when compared to fresh peas. It is high in proteins, hence suggested for diabetics.

Hello Sir,

I would advise if can substitute atleast one meal with chapatis/roti/phulka etc instead of consuming rice both the times. You can even take millets like Ragi, bajra, oats , quinoa etc. Use whole grains. These all release glucose in your blood slowly rather than the quick release of glucose seen as with white rice. If you unable to change your dietary habits away from rice, try if you can take brown rice/red rice/wild rice instead of white rice.
Take plenty of vegetables,...more

Hello Sir,

Chicken and fish both are very good sources of protein. I would advise you to take them instead of mutton if possible. Take skinless chicken.

Thank you

All fruits are good for diabetics, they have to be taken in moderate amounts and at proper time. Fruit juices are harmful as they raise sugar suddenly but fruits contain lot of fibre, raise sugar slowly.
