Hello, Thanks for the query.
The protein supplement mentioned has 52 g of carbs per `00 g and gives just 20 g of protein for 100 g. So it is not good for a person with diabetes. Thanks.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
It would have been better if you had mentioned actual blood glucose value and HbA1c%, to know exactly how good is the control. Ideally FBG should be < 100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c% <6.8 to say one has good control.
In diabetes some times blood supply to lower limbs does get affected, which causes slower healing in addition to presence of excess glucose in the blood.
The drugs prescribed are good enough, to help healing. Thanks.

The ripe mango is very sweet offers a large amount of calories. Hence, it is not good for a person with diabetes, Occasionally a small piece can be eaten, but not more. It is good if he is refusing to eat it. Thanks.

He should avoid taking the sugarcane juice as it does lead to spike in sugar levels if taken in large amounts. It may not cause any problems in case of non-diabetic people. Anything done excessively is not good ( habits are formed due to repeated actions ! ). A diabetic person should learn about the basics of diabetes and it's complications so that he can take an informed decision out of will and not out of compulsion.
