Do you feel any numbness on half of your lower your lip as well? Was the numbness worst initially and has gotten better or is it the same since then? Do you have no sensation at all? An X-ray of that particular molar is a must to find out the possible reason of occurrence of nodule or swelling on face. If its due to decayed molar then it can be Root canal treated or removed according to final diagnosis after clinical and radiological examination. Its curable. Only the thing is you might have to undergo RCT of the tooth or even removal. Hope this helps...

The fact is that smoking does interfere with healing. But. As you did not mention or report any trouble or complications after tooth extraction!.
