Apply hot compression twice a day for 15 mins.
There will be pain in the lower back after surgery due to loss of blood, weakness in muscles and deficiency of calcium.
Visit nearby physical therapist and take ift+us therspy for 10 days, maintain proper posture, avoid bending of spine and do exercises for strengthening of lower back muscles.

The nature of pain you are describing is more likely sciatica pain.
You can do following things-
1. Pay attention on your sitting posture as you are working from home. If possible use ergonomically designed working station, it will help to maintain proper posture of spine.
2. Don't sit for long time on one place, take breaks after 1 or 1 and half hour & do stretching exercises.
3. U can apply lukewarm oil to low back & thigh half hour before shower.
