Hi, Ideally if your haemoglobin remains this low consistently, then find out the reason if you are Thalessemic minor. One tablet of iron per day should be fine as too much iron can lead to contipation. Also it gets stored in the liver.

Monitor the Hb level to assess the condition.
Odema is not experienced, usually, if Hb level is raised in blood on medication (injection).

You can increase the hb level by --increasing food items with iron ; folic acid ;protein etc in your daily food menu ; by decreasing worm infestation -- taking food and water ; fresh juices etc from hygeinic outlets or from home only ;//by improving your personal hygeine -- cut nails regularly ;take bath daily etc // taking wormicide medicines every 2-3 months -if you are taking unhygeinic food /water ; treat any disease which leads to bleeding or reduce production/level of hb-- like piles; mala...more
