Sorry to know that your mother is in pain, burning sensation could be due to diabetes ,rapid correction of blood sugars or kidney related issues. Please check her body weight, blood pressure and serum creatinine. Muscle pain could be a part of neuropathy and if there is stiffness relaxants like baclofen or tizanidine could help. Non opioid pain medication like tramadol which is safe in diabetes could be added to paracetamol. Burning sensation may respond to medications like gabapentin, carbazepinr, amitriptyline etc. Please consult a doctor who takes a good history and physical exam and treat accordingly. Thanks.

Tramadol comes in opioid group of drugs. It can be addictive. And if you stop abruptly it may cause withdrawal symptoms like tremors, sweating, bodyache, muscle cramps, vomiting, diarrhoea etc. My advice is you try to reduce the no. Of tablets from 5 to 4 per day. Continue for 5 days. Then reduce to 3 per day for another 5 days. Then 2 per day, then one.in the meantime if you are getting any bodyache then it's better to take painkillers like paracetamol or brufen whenever you feel pain. Drink lots of water and fluids. These withdrawal effects last for few days. Then it will subside. But if it's untolerable then go to hospital immediately.
