Dear user. Penile itching could be due to many factors. Men who are uncircumcised (who have the foreskin remaining around the penis) are prone to balanitis, an inflammation of the foreskin that is often caused by poor hygiene, irritation, or infections. Penile itch is not an emergency, but it may be a sign of a disease that can be transmitted to others. Please consult a doctor for physical investigation which is essential for diagnosis. Take care.

Yes, " Phimosis" is the technical term for an un-retractable foreskin. An acute case of phimosis may create problems for the person when he would want to pass urine or to perform sex, as this action may either be restricted or become troublesome. This is when phimosis becomes a medical emergency. It has been linked with an increased risk of infection, loss of sexual stimulation of the penis and even penis cancer. Traditionally medicine offers conservative treatment of phimosis. It is worth noting that in recent years, medicine has made great progress in this field. So, if you looking for a permanent solution for your tight foreskin, yes it is possible with Ayurveda. Surgery (circumcision) can be avoided.

I think it is balanitis, I used to clean my foreskin, head, penis shaft with dettol twice a day & even i'm getting itching ,some discharge smell underneath the foreskin when I pull back the skin. At that time I tried to rub my foreskin after that the skin become cracked then I used to clean with water or dettol liquid. After that I used to apply coconut oil. If I had intercourse then only i'm getting this itching on foreskin not on the head. Other wise no problem with my penis. How to get rid of it fast.

Balanitis is an infection or inflammation of the skin on the head (glans) of the penis. In men who are not circumcised, this area is covered by a flap of skin known as the foreskin, or prepuce. Balanitis can occur in both circumcised and uncircumcised men, although it occurs more commonly in men who are not circumcised. Young boys generally are affected only if they have a very tight foreskin that is difficult to pull back. A variety of infections and skin conditions can cause balanitis. These include: infections with yeast (candida) or bacteria that live on the skin (the most common cause) sexually transmitted infections, such as herpes simplex irritation of the skin by soap, detergents or spermicidal jelly benign (noncancerous) skin conditions such as psoriasis some types of skin cancer (very rare) while any man can develop balanitis, the condition is most likely to occur in men who have a tight foreskin that is difficult to pull back, or who have poor hygiene. Diabetes can make balanitis more likely, especially if the blood sugar is poorly controlled. High blood sugar causes elevated amounts of sugar in the urine. Sugar-rich urine that dribbles on to the glans and under the foreskin provides a friendly environment for yeast and bacteria. Also, people with poorly controlled diabetes have a harder time fighting infections. When balanitis keeps recurring, it may be caused by a yeast infection transmitted back and forth between partners during sexual contact. Treatment depends on the cause. If your problem is caused by a yeast infection, you will be advised to use an antifungal cream. Clotrimazole (lotrimin, mycelex) is a very effective over-the-counter medication, which is also used for treating vaginal yeast infections and athlete's foot. Apply it to the affected area two to three times daily for 10 days. Your doctor also may recommend a prescription antifungal treatment, either in a cream or pill form. If you have an infection with skin bacteria, you will be told to use an antibiotic cream, and to make sure you clean the area thoroughly. Occasionally antibiotic pills may be necessary. When the skin is inflamed, but not infected, you will be advised to keep the area clean and dry and to avoid any soaps or skin lotions that may be aggravating the condition. Sometimes a cortisone cream can help to improve the problem more quickly. However, cortisone can make certain infections worse, so it is best to avoid this type of medication unless it is prescribed by a physician. Once effective treatment begins, you usually do not need to avoid sex, although sexual contact can chafe or inflame the affected area. Rarely, sexual contact can pass an infection back and forth between partners. If this occurs, both partners may require treatment at the same time to prevent further episodes. In uncircumcised men, circumcision often prevents repeated infections, especially in men who have a tight, difficult-to-retract foreskin.

Hello- Penis swelling and a tight foreskin both are two different issues. I wonder why your doctor suggested you for circumcision. Masturbation strokes damages the penis muscle and thus can cause pain and swelling. You need to reduce and correct your masturbation frequency and technique and have to start herbal supplementation to promote tissue repair of your penis. This is the way you can get it recovered permanently.
