Rotavirus is a virus that causes diarrhea, mostly in babies and young children. The diarrhea can be severe, and lead to dehydration. Vomiting and fever are also common in babies with rotavirus. Doses are recommended at these ages: First dose: age 2 months Second dose: age 4 months Third dose: age 6 months (if needed) Your child must get the first dose of rotavirus vaccine before age 15 weeks, and the last dose by 8 months age. Doses of Hib vaccine are usually recommended at these ages: First Dose: 2 months of age Second Dose: 4 months of age Third Dose: 6 months of age (if needed, depending on brand of vaccine) Final/Booster Dose: 12 to 15 months of age Hib vaccine may be given at the same time as other vaccines.

This is a common problem in young children and there is no need to be alarmed. You please take the child to your doctor for treatment. If vomiting persists it may be necessary to give intravenous fluids. It will take some time for diarrhea to subside. Keep giving small feeds at frequent intervals.

Hi Your child having viral illness and it seems because of problem of lactose intolerance your pediatrician has advised you to stop milk. Definitely the problem of infection is most probably due to bottle feeding but it is also quite natural that you cannot stop the bottle feeding all at once, gradually wean off the child from the bottle and in the meantime strictly adhere to sterilizing the feeding bottles every time you feed the baby. Instead of giving orange juice, when the baby is having cold prefer to give semi solid foods like Daliya, semolina,kichri, etc to your baby.

Bit loose stools are normal in kids from 3-8 times a day until the baby is totally active. Only breast feed her. Every 2hrly and then let her burp. Without burping do not let her lie down or sleep.

How many times she passes stools and what is the type of stools are the questions. Still let me tell you 10 to 15 times also sometimes we consider as normal. Most important thing is what is the general condition and how is the babie's mood. Are there any other symptoms e. G. Rash around anusara or continuous cry etc.
