I have flat feet. My feet tend to hurt amd cramp when I run/sprint even with good sports shoes. Would it help if I wore an ankle support?

Hello Mr. lybrate-user, thank you for the question. Flat Feet is a condition which involves collapse of the bony arches of the foot. Solution that works best is a customised orthotic insoles, which corrects the bone alignment and reduce the stress on muscles and ligaments. Ankle support will cause further weakening of these structures. You should try insoles customised for you and it will help you keep active and painfree.

You need Arch-support which should be fixed in every footwear you put on. You may not need it for routine walk.
