I use Rice Bran oil for all my cooking purpose other than Italian cooking which is done in the Olive oil. Is it good enough? What are the components I should check for to identify a good cooking oil?

You may use a combination of mustard oil (indian olive oil) & white oil (sesame seed oil/ rice bran oil/ blended oil) to get fatty acid ratio of 1: 1:1 (SFA: MUFA: PUFA) in diet. But do not mix 2 oils.

You may try different oils for cooking since each oil has different composition and benefits. MUFA oils are Mustard /Groundnut and PUFA oils are Rice bran/Sunflower/Safflower Etc. It is best if you rotate the oils on a weekly basis. All of them are good. Also you must try to get your Omega 3 oils from a daily dose of Flaxseeds (2 spoons).
