If I have triglycerides level 235 mg /DL and having history of DM type 2 and taking metformin 500 mg bid! Is it better to take nuts along with breakfast?

Hi, Nuts contain lots of fats which is not good for health after certain age. Added to it, your triglyceride levels are quite high and thus it is better to avoid nuts.

If your blood glucose is well controlled, with fasting closer to 100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c%<6.8, then you can take some nuts (which one not specified). Most important is to have a strict blood glucose control. Thanks.
